It’s My Birthday!

Today is my birthday! It doesn’t actually feel like it though. It’s probably the most anti-climactic birthday of all time. I have a huge gala I’m planning for work on Saturday, so more than likely I’m cramming in as many hours of prep work as I can and then going to bed early. Woo Hoo, 26 is lit.

I will celebrate my birthday for real after the gala probably by finally going to see “Beauty and the Beast.” I love Disney for always releasing their live action princess movies the week before my birthday.

Instead of my typical posts, I’m doing a get to know you post. It’s my birthday so I can do what I want, right?? I was going to do 26 things about me, however now that I’m getting old that seemed like a lot, so I did 2+6. This felt less overwhelming, haha so here are 8 fun facts. You can read some others here.

-I can quote every line to every Friends episode. I can be in the other room, hear maybe three seconds of a clip and tell you what episode it is. I whoop serious booty in “Friends Scene It.” Yet, I still watch it re-runs every night when I go to sleep.

-I got married in October. (Duh) But I met my husband Stephen on a blind date in college. I was on Executive Council for my sorority and had to be “on duty” at our date night so I wasn’t taking anyone to the party. A friend of a friend called me at the last minute and asked if I could take his new fraternity brother so he could get on the guest list. That guy ended up being Stephen. 5 years later, here we are.

-Speaking of college, I went to school in the town where Honey Boo Boo lives. I was behind her in a Zaxby’s drive through one time and her family spent $112. The cashier told me when we got to the window.

-My birthday means Starburst jellybeans are out for Easter and all is right with the world.

-Cinque Terre is my favorite place in the whole world. When I studied abroad in Italy, I hiked through all five cities in one day and it was truly the highlight of my life. Pure magic.

-I love Dancing With The Stars and get way too invested every season.

-I’m kind of a hot mess. I’m usually late because I can’t find matching shoes. I don’t mind that my apartment is lived in. I’ve definitely killed every plant that has ever entered my house. I love carbs and sometimes I forget to drink water. I only do laundry when I’m out of underwear. I’m just kind of a mess. Stephen holds down the majority of the fort, thank goodness. Maybe by 27 I can fix some of my quirks LOL!

-I haven’t slowed on my Diet Coke addiction. I still drink way too many and don’t regret a single one.
