My little sister has been ranting and raving about First Watch for a few days. She is leaving for college this week, so we decided to have one final girl’s weekend to complete everything she wanted to do one last time before she left home. This, of course, included brunch at First Watch.
I had never been and was beyond impressed with their fresh ingredients, juice bar, and cozy atmosphere. I was also pleasantly surprised to find out that First Watch has many locations, so I can have it really anywhere I am.
First Watch is big on fresh ingredients from local growers. It’s printed on everything from their menu to their coffee to go cups. You can definitely taste the difference. They serve breakfast, brunch and lunch. One day I will go for lunch, but this was a strictly brunch trip.
If you have been reading my blog for awhile, you know my love of eggs benedict. If you’re new (welcome!) I went to Jamaica in February and discovered eggs benny for the first time and became a little obsessed. Every brunch I have to sample the eggs benedict. My boyfriend even learned how to make them for me.
First Watch was no exception. I couldn’t wait. They offered two types of the benny: ham and tomato or Florentine with spinach, avocado and tomato. I opted for the Florentine style, and it was such a good combination. I’ve had eggs benedict with salmon, canadian bacon, regular bacon, ham, crab, etc. but I would have never thought to add avocado. So brilliant.
Blah, adorable.
I couldn’t leave without sampling the locally grown iced coffee. It was sweet with a little coffee in my cream, just the way I like it. Needless to say I sucked it down pretty fast… PS the napkin wrapper says “We’re the reason the chicken crossed the road.”
Baby sis was right. I’m hooked. If you haven’t tried First Watch, look up the location nearest you and make a trip immediately.
How do you like your coffee?
I love First Watch! There's one a few minutes away from me, but always a crazy wait on the weekends!
Yum! That benny looks so delicious!
Mmmmmmm! I love eggs benny too!
huh! Good to know! I have a First Watch in town and I've never tried it. I certainly will have to now! I love the idea of locally grown products. The environmentalist in me smiles when I read it. lol. I'll let you know how it is when I go! 😀
I LOVE FIRST WATCH! They are great.
Well that all looks so delicious! I may have to go try it out, too since i'm a Georgia girl, too!
I love First Watch! We recently had a few open up nearby
Try the Kale tonic – more delicious than it sounds. And skip the pineapple one. Bleah.
