This song has nothing to do with my blog post today though…
I collect peacocks. I actually have quite a little obsession. One time my friend and I counted and in my 711 square foot apartment, I have 37 peacocks. I’m not even sorry about it.
Collections are so cool. They’re around long after we’re gone. Mine is trivial and just really matches my apartment, but some are so neat and interesting. Coin collectors, stamp collectors, antique collectors, art collectors, book collectors, etc. really spend a lot of time traveling and hunting down that missing piece to their life’s work. It’s a passion and a drive that lasts forever.
Peacocks are not my first collection. In fact, I had several awesome collections back in my day including:
-Beanie Babies…which my mom and my sister have now started selling. Thanks a lot guys.
-McDonald’s Happy Meal Barbies. This was back when the toys were on point. I don’t know what that garbage is they are giving kids now. The mini Barbies were the bomb.
-Teeth. They fall out and have to go somewhere right?
-Books. My life was just not complete without the next Junie B. Jones or Mary Kate and Ashley book.
-N’SYNC paraphernalia. I still mourn the day they broke up. I don’t know if I will ever recover…
One day when I’m rich (ha ha) I would love to be an art collector, but for now I’ll stick with my fun feathery friends.

I remember the old school Barbies. I feel sorry for kids these days who get happy meals. nothing happy about a crap toy.

I probably had hundreds of those dang McDonald's Barbie dolls! lol. I was obsessed!
Also, RIP NSYNC…I was so sad when they broke up and even sadder when I found out my first love (Lance) was gay…

NSYNC THOUGH!!! I never really collected anything related to them but they were my childhood. Nsync > BSB.
