How to Add Subtle (and Not-So-Subtle) Shimmer to Your Beauty Routine

I’m still on the Kesha cruise…this means SO much glitter! Really every outfit I packed is straight sequins. I also have 12 different kids of glitter for my hair and make-up. I also got my nails done last week and during the process it looked like a pre-school craft-project on my nails. They turned out awesome though. If you ever need wild glitter nails, go for SNS GL 13.

Anyway since I’m on a boat with Kesha, I thought it was fitting to share several products that help you with shimmer and shine! These products range from subtle to not subtle at all.. But they all help you work glitter into your beauty routine.

Here we go:

Sea Star Sparkle Glitter Sunscreen: I love passive sun protection. Any time I can sneak SPF into my skin care I am ALL about it. I’m so pale, so I try to sneak SPF in everything. This is a glitter sunscreen!! In fact, it’s SPF 50! The lotion comes in several different scents including: cotton candy, coco lime, party cake, and very berry. I’m so here for it. Makes me feel like a mermaid.

Unicorn Snot Glitter Gel: Ok the name is not super appealing, but the product is! This requires no adhesive or primer and is packed with glitter. It does come off easily with a make-up wipe though! This is perfect for music festivals, Halloween, or you know, Tuesday. Don’t use this on your eyes.

Unicorn Snot Glitter Sunscreen: Same concept as the Sea Star Sparkle, just Unicorn Snot’s version. This one is SPF 30 if that’s more your speed.

Physicians Formula Extreme Shimmer Shadow Nude Palette: This is my favorite eye shadow palette. It is SO pigmented and the shimmer is so intense. I love it for a girl’s night out, or really any night out. It’s a beautiful palette.

Killawatt Foil Freestyle Highlighter Palette: This is a FUN highlighter palette because it doesn’t come in your basic highlighter colors. This is part of the Fenty Beauty By Rhianna collection and contains hyper-metallic colors. These colors are made to pop and look good on all skin tones. It’s a FUN palette. Maybe not made for a work day in the office, but perfect for a unique event.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Sugar Glow Kit: I love Anastasia Beverly Hills highlighters. My all time favorite was Anastasia Beverly Hills Nicole Guerriero Glow Kit. Omg it was so good! However, I really love this Sugar Glow kit too! I love a good shimmer highlighter and Anastasia Beverly Hills does it better than anyone.

True Match Lumi Glotion Natural Glow Enhancer: I’ve talked about this before! This is DRUG STORE MAKEUP, but you put it on before your make-up and it gives you an all over glow. This is one of the subtle products I mentioned. It’s great. I’m such a huge fan.

Tarte Treasure Pot Glitter Gel: I love Tarte products and this glitter is great. It’s definitely loud, but it’s great for festivals, parties, and costumes. I love that it has star glitter. I wish they would make more colors.

Too Faced Pure Gold Ultra-Fine Face & Body Glitter: My favorite thing to do with this glitter is gold-plated lips. Too Faced has a tutorial on the product page for how to do this. This glitter is super-fine so it can be mixed into your make-up.

Make Up For Ever Star Lit Glitters: This has every color you could possibly want! It’s in-between fine and thick glitter so it’s pretty versatile!
