I loved putting together my January 2024 Reads, February 2024 Reads, March 2024 Reads, April 2024 Reads and May 2024 Reads, so decided to continue for June! Here is a roundup of everything I read in June 2024 and my honest reviews!
I read fewer books this month again. I am still adjusting to having two kids, I’m on maternity leave and we traveled to the beach this month. It was a great selection, though! Keep reading to see which books I read this month.

Thank You For Listening by Julia Whelan – ★★★★
This was a great summer pick. It was a cute love story about two audiobook narrators. It was a little slow getting started, but once it got going, I read it very quickly! I definitely recommend it if you need a book by the pool this summer.
The Berry Pickers by Amanda Peters – ★★
I wanted to love this book. It was highly rated and my mom really liked it. However, I think because of the stage of life I am in, I didn’t care for this one at all. It just gave me too much anxiety. It’s a good book, but if you are a mom of young children, and books and movies affect you and make you worry more, I recommend skipping this one.
The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren – ★★★★★
I’m new to Christina Lauren books. My sister recommended this one and Christina Lauren in general. Christina Lauren is actually two people. Two friends who write together (Christina and Lauren) and this book was excellent. It was a perfect summer read and I am excited to read more from them. If you like a good love story that’s a little sexy without being FULL smut, this is a great one. It’s similar to Emily Henry vibes so I loved it. Can’t wait to read more. I have already put more holds on Christina Lauren books in the Libby app.
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid – ★★★★★
It took me FOREVER to get this book off the holds list on the Libby App. It’s as good as everyone says. I loved it! I am pretty sure I’m the last person in the world to read this book, but if you haven’t, it’s a must-read. The twist was one I DID NOT see coming and I’m very good at predicting the endings. Riley Sager wishes he could write a twist like the one in this book.
Just for the Summer by Abby Jimenez – ★★★★
The perfect summer read! It felt right on brand to read this one in June! It was a super cute read and perfect for your beach trips.
