Today I’m sharing a super easy place setting idea for your Christmas dinner table. This will make your tablescape so fun and festive for the holiday season. Keep reading to see how I put this Christmas place setting together.

My Christmas Tree Spode is on major sale right now. I love my Christmas dishes. I actually didn’t register for everyday China when I got married. I registered for Christmas Tree Spode instead. My mom has the green version and it brings back so many Christmas memories. So when I started my pattern, I got the gold place settings.
However, any dishes will work for this. Pick some that make you happy and go with your home decor. We do more traditional Christmas decor at my house, so we go red and green.

How to make a Christmas gift place setting
What you’ll need to create this place setting:
–Dinner Plate
–Salad Plate
–Wide velvet ribbon
–Gift tags that tie rather than stick
-Sharpie
–Placemats
–Coffee cups, saucers, wine glasses, water glasses, silverware, whatever you need for dinner.

Instructions:
-First, place your salad plate on top of your dinner plate.
-Cut a piece of velvet ribbon and tie it around the middle of both plates. Make sure the knot is on top. You don’t want to tie it like a typical present so the plate sits flat on the table.
-Cut a second piece of velvet ribbon and tie it across the first piece. Tie the knot on top of the first knot.
-Take a third piece of shorter velvet ribbon and tie it around the first two knots so now you just have one big knot. Tie a big bow and fluff it out.
-Write the names of your guest on a gift tag and attach it to the bow.
-Place the plates on a festive placemat and set the remainder of your table.
