As a size 12, I was skeptical of participating in the women’s athletic onesie trend. Onesies are making more appearances and becoming increasingly popular. I always love to try a new trend, so I really wanted to be able to participate. I purchased a onesie and decided to style it for a midsize body.
Also, I wanted to make sure that I felt comfortable, not too exposed, and had outfits that made me feel confident. I’ve styled the women’s onesie in three different ways below. Again I am a size 12. I purchased the large and it was true to size.
3 Ways to Style a Women’s Athletic Onesie for a Midsize Body
The first way is with a casual button-down and a belt bag. This is a low-maintenance look that is great for running errands or heading out for a day at the park with your kiddos. I like it because I feel a little less exposed and still feel chic while running around. Plus a belt bag is SO convenient to keep all your items close to you. The belt bag is my favorite thing since becoming a mom. I’ll be sharing more on this soon.
The second way to style a women’s onesie on a midsize body is to add an oversized blazer. I actually would add an even more oversized blazer than this one. I’m on the hunt for the perfect oversized blazer, but this one works for now. This look is a little more chic than the first. You could add boots in the fall for an elevated look. I just added some tennis shoes to this one. This is my favorite of the three looks I’m going to show you. It’s a super-easy way to look chic and put together.
The third look is another effortless look, but definitely more casual. If you follow me on Instagram, you know I love my overalls in the summer. They make frequent appearances on my posts and in my stories. The overalls are my second favorite item after becoming a mom, right behind the belt bag. I threw my overalls over the onesie, and honestly, I think it’s so cute.
Have you tried the women’s onesie look? How do you style yours?
