It’s time for another post in my new series, “Things I Bought from an Instagram Ad.” This series focuses on things I purchased from an Instagram Ad I was served. I test out the product and share my thoughts. Today, I’m reviewing the Wildpier Beauty deep exfoliating glove and sponge.
I was served an ad on Instagram of this glove being used. It was taking off layers of dead skin. It was talking about all these wonderful skin benefits. I have little bumps on my knees that I am really self-conscious about. I have used lots of different products and exfoliants, but none have really worked. So I added this glove to my cart to see if it would do the trick.
According to the site, here are the instructions for using the glove.
Step 1. Soak
Take a warm bath or shower for at least five minutes to soften the skin. Do not use any soaps, shower gels, shampoo, or similar products as the glove relies on direct friction with the skin.
Step 2. Exfoliate
Move yourself out of the water. Wet your glove and wring it out. Make sure the glove isn’t too wet! Begin to rub the glove up and down your body. Use long and firm strokes.
Step 3. Rinse
When finished, wash your body as you normally would. Rinse your glove thoroughly using water and gentle soap. Hang your glove in a well-ventilated area to air dry. Moisturize with your favorite body lotion or oil.
I used it this week and decided really pamper myself and take a bath. I waited until Ben was asleep and soaked in the tub for ten minutes with a glass of wine. I take scalding hot baths and showers lol, so once I was nice and crispy, I lifted my legs out of the tub one at a time and tried the glove.
My initial reaction was that I didn’t peel like the girl in the Instagram ad. According to the website, there are a few reasons for that. I do use another body exfoliator regularly and it says sometimes that will prevent peeling. So I think that was probably it. I may take a break from the scrub this week and then try the glove again next week.
I was going to make an IG reel, but since I didn’t peel, it was really me just rubbing my legs so I decided to skip that.
Now, even though I didn’t peel, I was VERY pleased with my results. My skin feels so smooth today and the little red bumps on my knees are not nearly as prominent. They are still there, but I can tell they look better and not as irritated. I used a clean moisturizer when I was done and my skin feels great.
I also purchased the Sponge for my face, and I liked the results of that as well. The sponge is not as intense as the glove, so I liked being able to use it on my face. I also use an exfoliating scrub on my face, so I didn’t notice a ton of difference with the texture. However, my skin felt VERY clean. I could really feel my products being used last night and I just felt really clean. So I like it as well!
So my initial reaction is to try it again. I like it, but I was expecting more. I will report back on this post if anything changes.
Have a great weekend!
