When I started writing out my goals for 2022, I wanted a place where I could round up all my favorite finds, deals, meals, tips, funny things I found on the internet and more. I have my newsletter, “The Collective” that goes out to subscribers every Thursday, but I wanted something more. So at the end of last year, I decided I was going to start this weekly weekend coffee chat. It’s going to be less of a blog post and truly just a collection of all the things from the week. It took me a couple of weeks to kind of plan it out, but I’m excited about this new series.
Every Saturday morning, I will have a new post up with a weekly wrap-up. It will be scheduled for early in the morning so you can read it while you sip your coffee. or tea. or Diet Coke. Whatever works for you. I hope you enjoy this new series!
What I Bought
I’ve been shopping the Red Dress Boutique warehouse sale! This is the best sale. 1000s of items are seriously discounted. I am so happy with my purchases from the sale and can’t wait for them to come in.
Ben has started crawling and pulling up. He is getting overly confident and we are getting nervous. So we bought this giant playpen that literally takes over our entire living room. We can get in it with him and he is happy in there with all his toys. We just have peace of mind that he will have a harder time hurting himself.
I also purchased some winter pieces from Amazon and more from Express that I am excited about. I am looking forward to sharing these over the next week or so once they come in.

What I Watched
We are rewatching “Schitt’s Creek” on Netflix right now. We watched it at the beginning of quarantine in 2020, and honestly, that feels like so long ago. So Stephen and I both wanted to watch it again. It’s even better the second time around.
I started Season 3 of “YOU” on Netflix, but that one requires a little more focus than I have right now. I need things light and quick so I can either work or do some things around the house or play with Ben or whatever. So I’m only two episodes in. If I ever have some downtime I will pick it back up. I liked the first two seasons so I do want to watch it.
I have been watching “And Just Like That” on HBO. I watch it weekly. I agree with lots of the things people say about it, but I don’t think I hate it quite as much as everyone else does. It’s the nostalgia for me. I like seeing the characters on my tv again, no matter how much of a hot mess they are.
“Encanto.” Oh my goodness, if you haven’t seen it, you have to watch it. Whether you have kids or not. Just watch it on Disney+. The music is 10/10, the story is great. We love it in our house.
What I Ate
I will be sharing the recipes we make during the week here during our Saturday Morning Coffee Talks, but honestly, we had a hard time getting it together this week. Stephen made us a homemade pasta as part of a virtual team-building exercise one day, but then we ordered Tazikis and McCallisters for the others.
We are excited to start making recipes from Skinnytaste. There are so many delicious options that seem smarter for our weeknight dinners. We aren’t doing a specific diet with our new healthy kick, we just want to make better choices. We also want to make meals that Ben can also have. For example, if we have chicken, we would season ours and give him some plain. There seems to be lots of options for this on the Skinnytaste website.
What I Did
I released my Valentine’s Day digital magazine this week to newsletter subscribers. It is a 20-page digital magazine with gift guides for men and women, outfit ideas, recipes, baby books, nail polish and more!
We have been using the Peloton app and love it! I now look forward to working out which has never happened before in my life. I’m pretty new to it still but my favorite rides have been the “theme” rides. Early 00s, Disney rides, Taylor Swift, etc. The Disney Ride with Kendall from 11/8 brought me straight back to my Libby Lu days. It was so much fun.
I’ve been planning Ben’s first birthday! It’s so hard to believe that it is in less than two months. It’s been so much fun to put it all together.
We FINALLY took down Christmas! We have just gotten behind on a lot of things and taking down Christmas decor was one of them. You can check out my post on Christmas storage here.
Ben had his last helmet adjustment appointment before we have the final scan and graduate out of the helmet! Everything went well and we are so excited to power through these last three weeks!
I’ve been slowly, but surely, updating my Poshmark account! It’s been a bit of a process, but I have listed a lot of new items!
