Mother’s Day is right around the corner! Today I’m sharing some unique gift ideas from The Little Market. I love The Little Market because it is a non-profit fair trade site with ethically sourced products from artisans around the world. Today I’ve rounded up some of my favorite items from the site including glassware that has been out of stock for 6 months. It recently came back in stock and I’m so excited!
I’m including these ideas as Mother’s Day gifts, but some of these would be awesome for a wedding registry, bridal shower gift or prize for yourself.
Check out my How to Host a Mother’s Day Tea Party post for an idea to treat your mom this year.
Etched Glassware: This is the glassware that has been out of stock for six months. I am so excited it is back! I think all of the pieces are so pretty and are perfect colors for summer. The glassware comes in clear, aqua and french blue. This glassware is made from recycled glass in Mexico and comes in two patterns: a pretty floral pattern and a leaf pattern. A few of my favorite pieces are the short glass, the stemless wine glass and the bureau pitcher. Each purchase supports Rose Ann Hall Designs artisans in Mexico.
Reusable gift and shopping totes: I have one of these tote bags hanging in my entryway. They have a lot of options for Mother’s Day specific totes, but also just some really cute totes to take shopping or to the farmer’s market. There are also options for gift totes. You can get your mom a nice bottle of wine and put it in an adorable wine gift tote.
Mother’s Day Candles: There are a lot of options here. There are your standard Happy Mother’s Day and mom candles. Then there are some more fun options too. Each purchase of the candles empowers women artisans at Prosperity Candle who have resettled as refugees in the United States.
Bath Bombs: Bath bombs are always a classic gift idea. These come in lots of different scents and are made of all-natural products. Each purchase of these bath bombs empowers individuals at Musee Bath in the United States.
Soaking Salts: Along the lines of a bath bomb, soaking salts are always fun. There are lots of options for scents here too! These come in 8 oz and 16 oz bottles. These are great for rest and relaxing. This soaking salt supports young mothers from under-resourced communities in Chicago, Illinois by providing a job training program to succeed in the workforce. They are empowered to build a bright career path, raise strong families, and create loving homes and communities.
Sugar scrubs: All of these scents are currently in stock! I LOVE a sugar scrub. During pregnancy, I couldn’t get enough of a sugar or exfoliating scrub. My skin always feels so good after I use a sugar scrub. These sugar scrubs were hand-blended in small batches with all-natural ingredients by resilient individuals in Los Angeles who are survivors of human trafficking.
Soaps: These are designed for sensitive skin and are all-natural. There are a lot of different scents to choose from here too. Each purchase empowers formerly homeless women at MADE by DWC in Los Angeles.
Spa Gift Sets: If you want to combine some of the bath and spa items, a gift set may be the way to go. There are some that have a combination of items, or several options of the same product like this soaking salt flight.
Hoop Earrings: There are several sizes of beautiful hoop earrings for your mom. They are 14k gold-filled so they won’t chip or wear off. Each purchase empowers women in Cambodia who have access to fair, dignified employment, skills training, and educational opportunities. They practice an intricate wire wrapping technique to create delicate designs.
