I’m officially 7 months pregnant and in desperate need of a cocktail. Now obviously, we won’t be having one of those. So instead, I have turned my attention to making mocktails. I’ve mentioned several times on this blog how much I love margaritas and spicy food. So today I’m sharing my new favorite recipe for a Spicy Jalapeno Margarita Mocktail.

Spicy Jalapeno Margarita Mocktail
To make a margarita mocktail, you will need:
- Ice
- 3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice
- 3 tablespoons of orange juice
- 2 tablespoons of Mike’s Hot Honey
- A splash of lemon lime sparkling water
- 1/2 Jalapeno cut into thin slices
- Lime wedges
- Chili powder
- Salt
Step 1: Mix together chili powder and salt on a plate. Wet the rim of your glass with a lime wedge and dip the rim into the salt mixture. Fill with ice. Set aside.
Step 2: Fill a cocktail shaker with additional ice. Add the lime juice, orange juice, hot honey and a few jalapeno slices. Shake for 30 seconds and strain into your glass.
Step 3: enjoy with a lime wedge and any additional jalapeno slices.
Now if you want an actual margarita and not a mocktail, just add 1 tablespoon of orange juice rather than 3. Then add two tablespoons of tequila. I prefer the kind with Blue Agave.
The real secret to this margarita is the hot honey. Using the hot honey as a simple syrup is the ingredient that takes it to the next level. You can get Mike’s Hot Honey on Amazon.
