Happy National Donut Day! Let's make a air-fried d Happy National Donut Day! Let's make a air-fried donuts.

You can make donuts using biscuit dough! I used regular and chocolate chip biscuit dough here.

Directions:
1. Take your biscuit dough out of the tubes and use a round cookie cutter (or any small round glass) to cut a hole in the middle. Put the center dough to the side.
2. Spray your air fryer with cooking spray.
3. Put as many donuts in the air fryer that will fit your appliance. If you have the Instant Pot/Air Fryer, I did three at a time.
4. Fry the donuts for 6 minutes flipping halfway through. So three minutes, then flip, and three more minutes.
5. Take them out and add your icing!
6. You can use the middle pieces to make donut holes.

Let's make the easiest clam cookies for summer par Let's make the easiest clam cookies for summer parties! These would go well with the crabby chicken salad croissants I shared a few weeks ago.

To make these, add icing the the back of a Nilla wafer. Place a second cookie on top allowing the front to be open while the backs are touching. Add candy eyes or pearls to the icing.

You can make these in lots of colors. I was feeling pink, but blue or purple is totally on theme for a mermaid party or a "let's shell-a-brate" party!

A Disney-Inspired Bridal Shower

My best friend got married this month! Before we celebrated her wedding, I had the honor of hosting a Disney-inspired bridal shower at my house. When we discussed the theme, she said she wanted Disney, but not “in your face Disney.” This was such a fun shower to host. I had the best time planning the details to make this event what she wanted.

Now, I highly recommend getting a crafty friend to help you out when planning a bridal shower. My little sister is the craftiest gal I know. So while I come up with big ideas, she is the one who can actually help me execute them. I owe so many of the pretty details you are about to see to her.

A Disney-Inspired Bridal Shower

A Disney-Inspired Bridal Shower with pink balloon and floral wreaths

The main portion of the shower revolved around the cake table. My sister made the beautiful Mickey head with faux flowers out of embroidery hoops she found at Michaels. My mom is a wizard when it comes to floral arrangements. She just has the magic touch. So she made these two beautiful arrangements framing the cake. I purchased this balloon arch for $16. It did almost cost me my marriage, but it looked beautiful once Stephen and I got it up.

All jokes aside, we just needed to figure out how to put a balloon arch in the new house. Stephen is such a good sport and I think it turned out beautifully!

I also rolled our this rose gold glitter table runner that was only $6. There was enough left to use at another event I hosted a few weeks later. Also I pulled out my cake stand to position the cake between the flower arrangements.

The Cake

The cake is from Pine Cone Bakery in Atlanta. Katie is amazing! All I really gave her to go off was I wanted a pink and gold cake, and she showed up with this masterpiece. It had fresh flowers and handmade mini macarons. Go check out Katie’s work, you will be floored. If you are in the Atlanta area, you should definitely reach out to Katie for your next event.

Disney-Inspired Decor

Throughout the house I placed small Disney-inspired details. I used a few books to prop up a silver teapot. I filled the teapot with faux flowers that matched the Mickey head on the mirror. Also, I placed a silver frame my mom painted over the spout of the teapot to give it an “Alice In Wonderland” vibe.

For favors, I ordered petit fours from Publix and placed them in these little mini gold cake stands. The gold domes reminded me of “Beauty and the Beast.” Also the petit fours had roses on top which was also a nod to Belle.

silver shoes

I also purchased this pair of shoes that represented glass slippers. They were very sparkly and had a fun flower situation on the side. I bought them in the smallest size so they would fit on my second cake stand. Next to the shoes, I stacked teacups and added more faux flowers and eucalyptus. I threw in a few faux pearl strands too.

On the front table I purchase this carriage and my sister filled it with faux flowers that matched the Mickey head. You can use real flowers, of course, but we were trying to get as much done ahead of time as possible. Since we were using whites and pinks, we wanted them to last the whole weekend. To prevent browning, we decided faux was the way to go. Next to the carriage, I had a photo of my friend dressed as a bride for Halloween.

gift section

On the gift table, I wrote “cards and gifts” in a white paint pen on this pretty little mirror that looked like it could have belonged to several of the Disney princesses.

Disney-Inspired Bridal Shower mini bar Disney-Inspired Bridal Shower cookies

The only thing that was truly “in your face Disney” was the “Minnie Bar.” I used my red letter board from Christmas and spelled out “Welcome to the Minnie Bar!” So rather than a mini bar link in a hotel, it was a “Minnie Bar” like the mouse. You get it?

I accessorized the bar with my favorite glitter ears and these adorable Minnie Mouse paper straws. I put all of this on my bar cart and then had a mimosa bar.

Check out my post on how to make a mimosa bar.

The gorgeous cookies matched the Mickey head as well. My sweet friend and sorority sister, Sarah Belle Sweets made these gorgeous cookies. She is my go-to girl for all cookie needs. If you are in the Atlanta area, Sarah is a cookie genius. She has helped me with a few other events this fall and I will share those projects soon! She is seriously amazing!

For food, my mom made a watermelon and feta salad which was perfect for the hot summer months! She also made her infamous sausage balls. We also had chicken salad croissants, and the delicious cookies from Sarah Belle Sweets. The party was from 2-4 so I didn’t go overboard on the food.

I used the greenery that came with the balloon arch to frame the table and highlighted a picture of the happy couple.

This shower was so much fun to host! I loved getting to celebrate my friend!
