Hey Friends! Today, I’m sharing step-by-step instructions to make a lemon signature drink. This is perfect for a wedding signature drink, a summer party cocktail or a Tuesday! Check out the video below where I walk you through it, or scroll down for the instructions!
To make this lemon cocktail, you will need:
-2 ounces Vodka
-1 ounce Limoncello
-1 cup water
-1 cup honey
-A cocktail shaker
-A 1 ounce shot glass
-A strainer or spoon
-A wooden skewer
-Fresh mint or basil
First, make your simple syrup. Combine one cup of water and one cup of honey on the stove over medium heat. Keep it over the heat until all the honey is dissolved, but don’t let it boil. Take it off the heat, and let it cool to room temperature. Once cool, store in a container in your fridge.
In your cocktail shaker, combine vodka, limoncello, 1 ounce simple syrup, and ice. Pop your cocktail shaker together and hold tight. Shake for one minute and set aside.
Slice your lemon. Cut all the way down the center to the rind, but not fully in half. Cut along the rind to remove the inside fleshy part of the lemon. You want one long strip of rind.
Wrap the lemon rind around a wooden skewer or a wooden spoon. Anything is fine as long as the end result is a curly lemon peel.
Pour the cocktail into a glass. Use a spoon or a strainer to keep the old ice in the cocktail shaker. Pour the cocktail over fresh ice.
Add your lemon garnish and a sprig of mint. Enjoy!
