We have been decorating our house like crazy during quarantine! We moved in four months ago, and have been using our free time to really make this house a home. Coffee table books are some of my favorite things to use as decor. Not only are they pretty and give your guests something pretty and interesting to look at, but they provide height if you place objects on top of them.
I love to decorate with layers and levels so using them as height is a great option. Because I use them as decor, I want them to be aesthetically pleasing. So this list is compiled of books with, not only, pretty insides but outsides too. We will be judging books by their covers today and that’s fine.
Here is a list of my favorite coffee table books for 2020 in no particular order.
1. Vogue Covers – This is a collection of Vogue Covers. The spine is blue and looks great in a stack. I have this one paired with the Homebody book.
2. The Grand Budapest Hotel – This book is beautiful! The cover is so pretty and the images inside are gorgeous. These are all photos from Wes Anderson’s The Grand Budapest Hotel movie.
3. Harper’s Bazaar: Greatest Hits – I’ve had this book for a few years. They have also come out with a second book for their 150 anniversary that is equally pretty. This book is large so it works great as a base book in a stack.
4. Homebody – I love Joanna Gaines. Any book she produces will be pretty and informative. I took the jacket off this book because there is a pretty blue book underneath! The solid book just went better with my home aesthetic. Don’t be afraid to look under the jacket cover of books, because sometimes the hard cover underneath is even better!
5. Cozy White Cottage – Love a white and neutral house? Then you need to pick up a copy of this book. Not to mention, it’s also white so it will blend in with all decor colors.
6. The New Glamour: Interiors with Star Quality – This book has beautiful photographs inside the celebrity homes. Some of the celebrities included are Kris Jenner, Khloe Kardashian, Kaley Cuoco and more. The photographs in this book are gorgeous.
7. Live Beautiful – This is a really pretty design book! It’s lovely neutral cover makes it a great book for a stack.
8. Cats Photographs 1942 – 2018 – I gave this book to my sister for Christmas. It is full of Walter Chandoha’s photographs of cats. There are so many adorable photos of cute kittens. It’s perfect if you are a cat person or just like beautiful photographs.
9. Pink: The History of a Punk, Pretty, Powerful Color – This book is GORGEOUS! If you love pink, you need this book. I could look at the cover all day. It’s a history of the color pink and full of pink pop culture images. Hello, Elle Woods!
10. Leaf Supply: A Guide to Keeping Happy House Plants – If you want to add some green to your home, this cover is perfect. The white and green combination is lovely and the book has beautiful images.
What do you think is the best coffee table book? Do you have a favorite at home?
