I feel like I should start out by saying there is zero meat and cheese on this Galentine’s Day charcuterie board. So it technically doesn’t count as charcuterie. However it’s cute and perfect for a Galentine’s Day party.
Let’s call it a dessert charcuterie board.
Galentine’s Day is such a fun holiday! It’s a no-pressure, celebrate your girls day. I love to celebrate Galentine’s Day with my friends. We usually do a brunch or wine night.
Today, I’m sharing how I put together this Galentine’s Day charcuterie board. It’s perfect for a night in with your girls and pairs nicely with wine and To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before 2. (Convenient how that release worked out, huh?)
To make this “charcuterie” board you’ll need:
–Multiple types of pink, red and white candy. I went with M&Ms, jellybeans, cinnamon jelly hearts, conversation hearts (my fave), gumballs, and Reese’s pink hearts.
–A focal piece. Clearly on this board, it’s the hunk of burning chocolate right in the middle. I picked up this “perfect man” chocolate from Target.
–Some delicious larger treats. I picked up these rosé cupcakes and heart shaped cookies from Target as well.
–Something fluffy. Heart-shaped marshmallows were the way to go here.
–A confetti of sorts. I found these cute sugar arrows to use on top of my treats. I can’t find the link, but they were also at Target. You could easily use sprinkles, or other sugar hearts.
To assemble your board, follow these steps.
- Start with your focal piece. In the middle is a good spot, but I actually like mine just a bit off to the side so it has an asymmetrical look.
- Add your larger tasty treats. I started with the four cupcakes and then added the three cookies.
- Create a section for the fluff. Give the fluff it’s own section since it will be a little larger than the candy.
- Fill in with candy. I have the candy in two places each on the board. I don’t put them directly across from each other. For example, if you think of it like a clock, put the M&Ms at 2 and 5. I like to have an asymmetrical look to my boards.
- Top with decor. I added my arrows last and strategically placed them all over the board for a fun detail.
Do you celebrate Galentine’s Day? What are you doing this year?
