I am picky about my pens. Like really picky.
I need my pen to a) be cute and b) write well. I need my pen to write smooth, consistent, not too thin but not too thick, and never smudge ever ever under any circumstances.
We’ll get to my favorite pen in a sec, but first I want to give a shout-out to my second favorite pen.
My favorite pens forever were the Pilot G2s. I still use these at my full-time job. My drawer is full of them. When people ask to use my pen I tell them yes, but ask for it back when they’re done. Fun fact: they never give them back…hence why I still use these pens at work. If you want a great, super cheap option that you don’t care if you lose, buy a bulk-load of G2s. They write amazingly well, but aren’t cute.
For Christmas, my co-worker + friend, gave me this Luxye Gold Crystal Pen and my world was forever changed! It checked off every qualification I have for my pens. It is a gorgeous gold and also comes in Rose Gold and Silver options. The gold matches my planner and my home office decor so it’s perfect! The middle of the pen has a chamber filled with white and gold crystals. Obviously, I love sparkles so this is so up my alley.
Secondly, this pen writes so well. It is a roller ball pen and has a really nice weight to it. It glides SO SMOOTH. Like you can hear it on the paper just gliding left to right. It’s a little magical if you ask me. Even though the pen is gold, the ink is black and doesn’t smudge. I’ve tested writing and immediately wiping my finger over it to see if it will smudge. I’ve tested writing and immediately closing my book. Nothing. It’s wonderful.
I love this pen so much! Don’t just take it from me, here are some reviews:
- They write so smooth!!!
- I get so many compliments on them at work.
- This is a great to give as a gift.
- Pens are expensive looking.
- I will be ordering again for sure!
I’m so passionate about my pens because I still use a paper planner and I’m constantly writing down “ta-da lists” and ideas for content as they pop in my head. I need my notes and thoughts to be legible. I think it’s important.
Ok I’ve blabbed on about pens long enough. Do you have a favorite pen?

I’m starting to get more particular about my pens, too! My boss always finds the BEST pens around, so she will always let me look through her stash and have one. I love other people who are into pens, notebooks, stationery, etc.
GIRL, I am a SUCKER for pens! And the fact this is gold, and GORGEOUS, I need to order them! Life is too short not to use cute things! Great post! xoxo
Oh man, I LOVE finding new pens! And this one is super pretty!! I need to get my hands on it!
What pretty pens! I love a good pen as well because I plan on paper and am always writing stuff down.
I love a good pen too! This one definitely looks super cute! I write in a paper planner and love a pen that doesn’t smudge, because my handwriting is not the best and I need to be able to read it later, lol.
I love gel pens and only use those. However, they do smear if touched too soon. Your pen sounds amazing…and I’d love it in silver. I’ll have to check out the brand.
This pen is super cute and girly! I love the glitter. I need one for my new journal!
I love pens too! although i was never really picky. I will have to try the luxye! Its soo pretty. And I, too, still use a paper planner. It’s just so therapeutic 🙂
I’m really picky about my pens as well! When it comes to work I only use cheap pens because I don’t want me good ones to walk off. These pens are so pretty!!! I may have to buy me some.
The pilot G2’s are my favorite! I’ve been using them (in blue) since I was in 8th grade. I work in a library and people steal my pens all the time. It might be nice to have a fancy one at home though!
I love a good pen. My sisters and I all share an addiction to stationery and writing utensils.
I am obsessed with pens and office supplies in general. I am super picky about my pens, too. These look so perfect!
i’m picky about my pens too. i try to keep them cheap so they arent stolen, or funky colors for the same reason
