Today may be Monday, but Thursday is Valentine’s Day!
What are you doing this year? Stephen and I are keeping it low-key with pizza and a movie. We’ve been focusing on the Oscar nominations. So far we’ve watched A Star Is Born and Bohemian Rhapsody. We’ve clearly got a long way to go lol.
After dinner though, we’re making these delicious Jalisco Iced Tea Cocktails with Partida Tequila (c/o). This drink is the perfect sexy drink for Valentine’s Day OR on the flip side a night with your girls. This cocktail and Rom-Coms totally mix!
Tequila is actually my drink of choice, but I’m having a harder time with it as I get older. Partida is made with Blue Agave and focuses on flavor so it’s really changing the way I drink tequila. I only want Partida and love finding ways to mix it into cocktails.
This recipe is Partida Tequila’s, but I just had to try it out. Scroll to the bottom for my YouTube tutorial (and a hilarious blooper!)
To make the Jalisco Iced Tea cocktail, you will need:
-2 oz. Partida Reposado
-1 oz Chai Tea
-1/4 oz Honey
-1/2 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
-2 oz Elderflower Lemonade
Instructions:
For Chai tea: steep one tea bag in 8 oz of boiling water for 3-5 minutes.
For cocktail: Shake and strain ingredients into a rocks glass over ice. Garnish with a lemon wheel and mint leaves.
It’s really easy to make and tastes delicious! It’s the perfect drink for all occasions and I will be drinking these every weekend during the summer. The crisp, cool and refreshing taste can’t be beat!
Do you love tequila? What are your Valentine’s Day plans?
Oh wow, I wouldn’t of thought of doing V-Day cocktails, but this looks so awesome! I never would of thought to mix a cocktail with Chai tea, but this sounds so yummy!
I know what cocktail I’m making this evening. I don’t want to wait until Valentine’s Day! This sounds and looks delicious. Chai with Elderflower is an interesting combination I would have never thought to try. Thanks for sharing.
Sounds delicious!! I love tequila but my husband isn’t really a fan. We are going out to a fancy dinner at the chef’s table, where he cooks up whatever he feels like – I’m excited! It’s BYOB so we’ll grab a nice bottle of wine.
Oh yum! This ice tea cocktail looks amazing. I got to make this cocktail very soon. …my gal friends will love it!
This certainly sounds amazing! My husband and I are doing an indoor picnic with a movie theater theme and a dramatic romantic movie. I’m excited. I may just have to add this cocktail to our list of things to make!
I’m not a big drinker, but this sounds pretty good.
Nice drinks! I am not into alcohol because I am so weak towards it.
Looks yummy! Maybe we’ll try this. 🙂
This sounds really refreshing! I do like Tequila, but I am always looking for ways to use it in different cocktail recipes. Thanks for this one!
