Well guys. It’s time to share how extra I truly am. Turns out though, I’m actually not that extra because there are several (more than several) other bloggers who also have one of these.
I am, of course, talking about my skin fridge.
When I first pitched the idea to Stephen, he looked at me like I had two heads. Honestly, that’s his first reaction to most things I say, then he just gets on board. Easier all around than questioning my insanity. Bless him. He’s such a good husband.
Ok, so what is a skin fridge?
It’s a little mini fridge to keep your skincare items in. I don’t keep ALL of my items in there obviously, but the ones (that after trial and error) I think work best chilly.
Why don’t I just keep them in a regular fridge? Honestly I’m lazy AF and don’t feel like walking downstairs for my ice roller first thing in the morning. Simple as that.
It’s extra, but so am I. I really notice a difference with some of my skin care that I’ve cooled off.
Let’s first talk about my fridge. I’ve had the pink version of this fridge for about a year now in my little cubby at my desk at work. I bought it strictly for Diet Cokes–it holds 6. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, this was my best purchase of 2018. I opened a Diet Coke the other day and there was ice in it. This little baby gets COLD.
On the flip side, it can also be a warmer for your Chick-fil-A biscuits, but we’re not talking about that right now.
I love it because it can plug into a USB or a traditional plug, it can also plug into a cigarette lighter for travel. I had a friend who used it while pumping to store her milk. Others use it to store their lunch so their yogurt doesn’t get eaten from the big fridge in the break room.
Let’s just say there are many of these in my office now.
So when it came to my skin fridge, I knew exactly what brand I wanted. I have the pink one already, so I opted for the black this time. That way, if for some reason, my pink Diet Coke fridge comes home, I have two different ones but they coordinate.
Oh, I forgot to mention the best part–these little baby fridges are between $45-$50. So affordable for chilly drinks and skin care.
Ok, now let’s focus what I put in my fridge.
Watermelon Glow Mask: I’ve talked about this literally a hundred times on this blog. It’s my holy grail of products–it’s legit like getting a facial while you sleep. I thought it couldn’t get any better, but then I got it cold. Game changer. Since I’ve taken these pics, I’ve thrown the avocado one in there too. See my post comparing these two masks here.
Colleen Rothschild Pomegranate Mask + Facial Oil: This combo is clutch for glowing skin. I plan to do a whole post on this, but for now just know that cooling this off is an ideal situation!
Let’s just keep going with the masks:
GlamGlow Gravity Mud: There is something about a cold face mask that is just a good idea. When it’s cold, it’s a little tingly. This mask, in particular, is a firming mask. When its cold, the ingredients are even more activated making your face that much firmer. You can check out my video on this mask here.
Pacifica Stress Rehab Sheet Mask: Again, something about a cold face mask. This one in particular is for a skin hangover. It’s called stress rehab for when you are mean to your skin–stay out too late, drink to much, do a tough mudder, whatever. It’s supposed to wake up your skin and reset it back to normal. You know what else wakes you up? Being cold. Get where I’m going here. Check out my post on skin hangovers here.
Ok up next, let’s focus on tools.
Gua Sha Stones: Are you familiar with Gua Sha? You can check out my post here. In a nutshell, it helps with lymphatic drainage and removing puffiness. I do it in the morning to get my blood moving. Chilling these stones helps get the blood moving x 10! It’s the obvious choice to go in my fridge. Same concept with a jade or quartz roller.
Ice roller: I feel like I should clarify here. I don’t put the handle in the fridge, just the roller. I don’t like to hold cold things. Again, the ice roller gets your blood moving and wakes your skin up. You can read more about it in this post. The great news is this little fridge gets cold enough that you don’t have to put it in the freezer.
No B.S. Vitamin C + E Serum: It’s no secret I love No B.S. products. You can check out my post on this line here. The vitamin serum is one of my favorite products from this line. I put this on in the morning, let sit for 10 minutes, and then add moisturizer. This serum is amazing and chock full of antioxidants. I love using it cold.
Gold Bond Healing Cream with Aloe: I talked about this one last week in my pretty feet post. This is the hardest one for me because I have sensitive feet that are super ticklish. Putting this on cold is a difficult task, but it’s really tingly and you can feel it working. Also, I mentioned I use this for sunburns. Know what’s good for sunburns? Cold aloe.
Finally let’s talk about the under eyes.
I ran out of the under eye masks the day before I took these pictures, but I also keep my under eye masks in my fridge. I really feel like they are working when they are cold and it helps decrease puffiness.
Finally, I keep my under eye hydration serum from Rodan and Fields, but I think a skin fridge is great for any under eye treatment.
I put together a video of all the products in my fridge and a little more in-depth explanation. Check it out!
Do you have a skin fridge? What do you keep in it?

I’ve never heard of skin fridge before but the idea sounds very practical. I just put my under-eye cream in freeze, along with other food items (ugh). Would definitely buy myself a mini skin fridge if I save up enough by the end of this year. And your fridge looks super neat and cutesy. 😀
I have never heard of a skin fridge. I am intrigued for sure!
I have never hear of such a thing but I am intrigued and they come in PINK you say?? I may just need one for my master bath!!
Haha, wow, never knew that existed!
I’ve been meaning to get a skin fridge for myself. I know my products would last better and work wonders on my skin if they were kept refrigerated!
This is amazing. I’ve actually been considering getting a skin fridge and you’ve just convinced me. I need it for my ice roller and alll the masks.
I need to buy one of these already!
I’ve seen a lot of women buying these lately and I’ve been super curious about it! I’m not sure if it’s something I absolutely need, but I really want to try it out and see if it truly is life-changing haha I just added this one to my Amazon wishlist!
I’ve been seeing these skin fridges everywhere! I had no idea it could keep warm some food also haha. So cool!
What!?!?! I have never heard of this, but now I feel like I need one for my vanity. It would be super convenient to put all my skincare products on there instead of my fridge.
OMG this is genius!! Why have I never thought of this?! LOVE it!
This is so cool! I learned something new about skin care. I am going to look into one of these fridges. Skin care is important!
