Happy National Donut Day! Let's make a air-fried d Happy National Donut Day! Let's make a air-fried donuts.

You can make donuts using biscuit dough! I used regular and chocolate chip biscuit dough here.

Directions:
1. Take your biscuit dough out of the tubes and use a round cookie cutter (or any small round glass) to cut a hole in the middle. Put the center dough to the side.
2. Spray your air fryer with cooking spray.
3. Put as many donuts in the air fryer that will fit your appliance. If you have the Instant Pot/Air Fryer, I did three at a time.
4. Fry the donuts for 6 minutes flipping halfway through. So three minutes, then flip, and three more minutes.
5. Take them out and add your icing!
6. You can use the middle pieces to make donut holes.

Let's make the easiest clam cookies for summer par Let's make the easiest clam cookies for summer parties! These would go well with the crabby chicken salad croissants I shared a few weeks ago.

To make these, add icing the the back of a Nilla wafer. Place a second cookie on top allowing the front to be open while the backs are touching. Add candy eyes or pearls to the icing.

You can make these in lots of colors. I was feeling pink, but blue or purple is totally on theme for a mermaid party or a "let's shell-a-brate" party!

How to Have Pretty Feet

pretty feet

Does anyone else totally neglect their feet in the winter? I’m the worst. My feet never see the light of day, I rock the same nail polish that was on my toes in September, it’s not a good situation. However, winter is the best time to be taking care of your feet and prepare them for summer. It’s so easy too. It only takes one simple step.

Are you ready for it?

Wear socks to bed.

I’m serious. That’s it.

If you remember a couple of months ago, I did a foot peeling mask that I was less-than-thrilled about. But wearing socks to bed is something I can totally get behind. I’m all about passive self-care ya know?

By wearing socks to bed you loosen dead skin, keep your feet hydrated, and hydrate your nails. You can make it a smidge more complicated and use lotion before putting on your socks. This will add a little extra moisture for extra hydration. I like to use the Gold Bond Healing Lotion with Aloe. I use this for sunburns, but it works great for feet too. This lotion also super cheap and you can buy it anywhere.

I’ve actually taken it a step further with these awesome moisturizing gel socks. They are almost sold out, but this pair is really similar. These socks have a gel lining that are infused with jojoba oil, lavender essential oil, and Vitamin E.

You can still put lotion on while using these, but they are also able to be used on their own. All the oils and and vitamins penetrate rough, dry, and cracked skin and lock in moisture. It’s recommended to wear them at least three days a week, but you can use them daily. Just be sure to only wear them to bed. Don’t walk around the house too much and definitely don’t wear them with shoes. Night time use only! You can also wash them, but only hand wash and hang dry.

So you sleep with warm feet and wake up with pretty ones. Sounds like a win-win situation to me!

Do you wear socks to bed?

This would be a great thing for me to try, especially since my feet were FREEZING last night! I’ve always been self-conscious of my feet, and I never really do anything to care for them. I think I’ll give this a try.

Wow I never would’ve thought it made that big of a difference! I have put lotion on with socks over to keep lotion from spreading when my feet got REAL dry, but I didn’t know just wearing socks regularly could help. Awesome tip, thanks!

Great tip! I don’t wear socks to bed, I will have to start wearing them. I too have had the same polish on my toe for the past couple months.
