So it’s time for another one thing, three ways post! Today I’m focusing on the cutest polka dot skirt! I love black and white always–I feel like it’s such a classic staple and my favorite combo to wear.
Fun fact, when I was in like elementary school or early middle school, I read an article in GL (did you read that magazine?) that said if you are blonde you should wear black because it makes your hair look blonder and makes you shine in a crowd. For some reason that really stuck with me. I love to wear black.
This skirt puts a fun twist on an old classic combo with the large polka dots. This skirt is a midi-length skirt with an A-line shape so it is super flattering. I thought it would be super fun to build three looks around this skirt. So let’s get started!
First up is your old reliable black and white. I paired the skirt with a classic lace black cami. This cami is super cute and less than $15! I like this look for a wedding or baby shower. I think paired with the right heels this is perfect for a dressier event.
Ok the next look is a little more fun. I got a little braver with print mixing. We all know I’m all about the leopard right now. Since I just can’t get enough, I decided to pair this fun little top with my polka dot skirt. This is a little funkier and fun than the first look, but I love this top, and I think the spots and dots are a fun combination.
Ok for the last look, I went with another mixed print but this one is a little more feminine. I love this pink floral top with the ruffle sleeves. It is a little see-through so I had to wear a nude cami underneath. I really love this combo together…it’s actually my favorite of the three looks. I think it’s unique and really pretty.
There we have it! One skirt, three ways! This skirt is so pretty and I love all the versatile ways it can be worn.
Which look is your favorite? 1, 2, 3
That is such a cute and unique skirt! I like how you styled it. The second is my favorite.
I LOVED GL magazine as a kid too and I always thought I was soo mature when I would get my hands on a copy of Seventeen before I was 17, hahaha! It’s so funny how certain tips and articles stick with you. I would not have thought to mix the leopard top with the polka dots but it is actually my favorite way you styled the skirt. I always love posts where bloggers show multiple ways to style a single item.
Such a cute skirt!!! It looks extremely comfortable! I love all of the outfits but my favorite it with the floral shirt! So cute!!!!!
Great job mixing those prints!
The first way you styled the skirt is my favorite! I love mixing prints!
This skirt is absolutely gorgeous! I love how full it is and the pattern, too! I love how you paired it with different patterns for a fun look!
I can only imagine how many outfits you’re able to put together when you pattern mix in such fun ways! I’m never creative with pattern mixing – but you did it so tastefully! Cute cute!
I love how nicely the black cami compliments the skirt, I love all three looks though
I love love love this skirt and pairing! I always try and pattern match and have sooo much trouble! Thank you for sharing and for teaching me! XO!
You do such a lovely job of pairing prints. My brain is a print with a solid, usually black or chambray.
such fun pattern mixings!! i usually just opt for solid colors and real capsule basics, but these options seem os fun!
This skirt is super pretty. Love the big bold print which you rock SO well!
I am loving those pic poka dots!!! Wish I could pull off that vibrant shirt.
