Easter is coming! So I found these super expensive Easter trees which were cute but it just seemed crazy to spend that much money on Easter trees. So I decided to make my own.
My family always plans an Easter lunch after church and these would be just perfect for our party. I am currently using them on my dining room table, but I will absolutely take them to help host our guests. I’m so excited for this year’s lunch because my brother is home from Afghanistan, and I want everything to be perfect.
Here is how I created them: first, I went to Michael’s! I purchased three small topiary trees on sale.
Then I bought an assortment of pink, blue, yellow, and white flowers. I also bought some fun Easter accessories like eggs and pipe cleaner chicks.
Then I made it really simple. Using hot glue, I placed three eggs in various colors on the base of the tree. I placed a circle of hot glue on the egg and pressed onto the base for 10 seconds to secure the hold.
Then I cut off the buds of the flower stems, and hot glued them sporadically on all of the trees. I also added a pipe cleaner chick and three different colors of mini eggs for a fun Easter touch.
I made sure to cover the trees completely and evenly. Finally, I wrapped a fun Easter ribbon (I used a thick blue ribbon) and hot glued it all around the base. Then I created a cute bow and glued it on top of the ribbon.
I’m so pleased with how they turned out and so excited to display them for Easter. I think you could also do something besides eggs and little fuzzy chickens for spring decor.
What do you think of my Easter trees? What do you and your family do for Easter?
These are the cutest!!
