I love to celebrate game days. I think it’s so fun to have your family and friends come together to celebrate (or mourn) your favorite team. Spending the day cheering along, waiting in suspension to watch the next play, and holding your breath every time the ball is released is so much fun.
The thing that really brings game days over the top are the perfect snacks. Today, I’m sharing some of my favorite recipes to really make you the MVP of your game day.
Up first are delicious Ball Park® Hot Dogs with cucumber salsa.
To make these, you will need:
-A package of Ball Park® Hot Dogs
-A package of Ball Park® Hot Dog Buns
-Half a cucumber
-Oil and vinegar
-Half a diced onion
-Cilantro
-Diced yellow bell pepper
First, heat up your hot dogs in your favorite fashion–grill, boil, microwave, whatever floats your boat. I like to toast the buns as well.
Second, combine half a chopped cucumber, half a diced onion, a diced yellow bell pepper, and a few splashed of oil and vinegar in a mixing bowl. Make sure everything is mixed thoroughly.
Next, top mixture with finely chopped cilantro and give it one more toss.
Finally, place your Ball Park ® Hot Dogs in the buns and top with cucumber salsa. YUM!
Up next, I make bacon and cheese little doggies. These are SO yummy, SO easy to make, and are always the first to go at our parties.
To make these, you will need:
-A package of Hillshire Farm® Lit’l Smokies® Smoked Sausage
-A package of Wright Brand® Bacon
-A block of cheddar cheese
-Two packages of crescent dough
First, slice each of your triangles of crescent dough into three smaller triangles
Second, slice your block of cheese into small sticks.
Next, place a piece of bacon on the dough long ways. Put a piece of cheese and a smoked sausage at the wide end of the triangle. Roll toward the small end.
Finally, place all your rolls on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake 9-12 minutes. Make sure your bacon is thoroughly cooked.
Some other snacks that are always a HUGE hit are Tyson(® Any’tizers ® Snacks. I love the Honey BBQ boneless wines and Popcorn Chicken. These are great finger foods to grab while you make small talk or get excited for a play.
