You can make donuts using biscuit dough! I used regular and chocolate chip biscuit dough here.

Directions:
1. Take your biscuit dough out of the tubes and use a round cookie cutter (or any small round glass) to cut a hole in the middle. Put the center dough to the side.
2. Spray your air fryer with cooking spray.
3. Put as many donuts in the air fryer that will fit your appliance. If you have the Instant Pot/Air Fryer, I did three at a time.
4. Fry the donuts for 6 minutes flipping halfway through. So three minutes, then flip, and three more minutes.
5. Take them out and add your icing!
6. You can use the middle pieces to make donut holes.

Let's make the easiest clam cookies for summer par Let's make the easiest clam cookies for summer parties! These would go well with the crabby chicken salad croissants I shared a few weeks ago.

To make these, add icing the the back of a Nilla wafer. Place a second cookie on top allowing the front to be open while the backs are touching. Add candy eyes or pearls to the icing.

You can make these in lots of colors. I was feeling pink, but blue or purple is totally on theme for a mermaid party or a "let's shell-a-brate" party!

New Year’s Resolutions + BGG Knits

Whoo! It’s 2018!

Crazy right? I feel like we were just ringing in 2017 and here we are again. I love bringing in a new year. I’m always feeling super motivated and full of hope and inspiration. This year is no different. I have big dreams and big goals for this year both personally and professionally. I’m writing everything down and sticking to it.

I think the best way to kick off a new year is to have not only resolutions, but goals too. I have them by the boat load this year. I’m really hoping this is the year where I get my life together.

Here are a few of my resolutions/goals!

Blogging Goals:

This is the first year I really took the time to blog and make it more of a business than a hobby. I took courses, reached out to brands and companies, and took a real step in the right direction. I’m hoping 2018 is my year!

–Create content that you actually want to read. I like to think of my blog as a magazine written by your best friend. I recommend products and companies that I LOVE, things that are actually in my house, fitness classes I have actually taken, and food I actually eat. While I have goals to make this more of a business than a hobby, I want to stick to my true voice.

–Blog three times a week. No matter what. I will stick to the Monday, Wednesday, Friday schedule this year. I realize today is Tuesday and I have already messed this up because NYE, but going forward I WILL do this.

–Hit my next milestone on Instagram. I love the swipe up feature on other’s Instagram stories. I love being able to look at exactly what they are talking about, whether that be a product, video, or blog post. In order to have this on my own stories, I have to hit 10,000 followers. So that is the next milestone I am working towards.

Personally:

This list is a little more varied. I have things I have big goals that maybe won’t happen this year, but I can go ahead and start planning now!

–Get financially stable! I am SO tired of always being broke lol! I am going to start saving money, stick to a budget, and get out of credit card debt (again *eyeroll*). I want to start planning for the future and begin getting financially healthy.

–Get healthy. I’m not talking about just losing weight (although that is a perk). I want to implement some healthy diet and exercise routines that I can stick to for the rest of my life. Let’s face it, I’m not getting any younger. I am definitely in the stage of my life where I don’t have the body of a college student anymore and I need to take care of it.

-Give back. In 2017, I made a huge career change and left the non-profit sector. While it was probably a good step career-wise, I don’t wake up every morning feeling fulfilled because I’m doing good in the world. However, I don’t need a job to do this. I can find ways to give back on my own. To kick this off, I partnered with BGG Knits.

This company is fantastic. This is a totally ethical company that pays Peruvian women a fair wage to create beautiful urban knitwear with no harm to the environment. Every piece is made with alpaca hair that is hand-spun by family farmers in Peru with absolutely NO harm to the animals.

In addition, BGG Knits employs, educates, and empowers women to use their skills to teach others. The company’s motto is “Never cease to do good.”

These pieces are gorgeous and SO warm. Right now, the temperature is in the teens in Atlanta and we just can’t function. Because each piece is hand woven, no two pieces are alike. Each piece fits in with current urban fashion, and quite frankly I just can’t get enough.

I am wearing The Alpaca Cloak in the color “Raw.” It goes with so many of my winter outfits, I just love it! It also has a super chic hood to protect your ears and head in the cold.

If you are looking for a great company to support in 2018 or just an awesome piece to add to your closet, I highly recommend BGG Knits!

Do you have new year’s resolutions and goals? What are you looking forward to in 2018?

Happy New Year! I love your goals, especially giving back. I need to do more of that! I’m always struggling with the get healthy/eat right/work out part, too so that’s definitely on my goals this year.

I am so in love with that hooded vest. It looks sooo cozy!!!
