Happy Monday! So I am not totally convinced of the midi dress trend. I live in limbo of being short and tall so I’m right in the middle. Plus I have short stubby legs, and a really long torso. I have been kind of afraid of the midi dresses, and tend to just steer clear to avoid chopping myself off and making me look shorter.
However, this dress is so pretty that I decided to take a chance. I love the different layers and vertical stripes. I feel like a bit of a nautical cupcake when I wear it. I think that the layers help aide my concern of being chopped off too short, and the stripes lengthen my limbs.
I paired it with some pretty sandals to dress it down a little, a large red cocktail ring, and pretty navy drop earrings. I thought this dress was navy and white all day today, but looking at the website, I believe it is black…whoops. I am not a fan of the “blavy” aka mixing black and navy, so this happened on accident, but we will run with it.
On another note, I did my roots this weekend so my hair is glowing a little outside. I love having fresh color even though I am really blonde right now. What about you?? Also, I have been living and dying by LipSense. I put it on this morning to take photos, then ran errands, and played a double header in kickball and it was still on.

I love the layered look on the bottom! It gives the dress such an elegant and interesting shape! I have a couple midi-dresses that I love!

I’ve been on the fence about the midi length dress too but this is such a cute one! I totally agree that the layers and the stripes helps to not cut off anywhere in an awkward place. Rock it girl!
