Wedding season is right around the corner, and if your calendar is anything like mine you’ll be attending a wedding every month. Now is the time to prep your hair, skin, body, and, of course, smile for all those photos that will be snapped at the reception!
Last year, I learned all the tips and tricks while I was preparing for my own wedding, and today, I’m sharing my favorite tips to look your best in front of the camera!
– Get a haircut. Spring is here so it’s time to lop off your dry and damaged split ends that accumulated over the winter. Give your gorgeous locks a lift with a fresh new “do” and maybe even a lighter color!
–Start that exercise regimen. The camera adds ten pounds which is my least favorite thing ever, but it makes me feel better if I start exercising before I know I’m going to be photographed a lot.
–Get enough sleep. Beauty sleep is a real thing. You just look your best when you sleep well.
–Get your glow on. If a subtle glow is your thing, start scheduling your spray tans, purchasing the perfect bronzers and highlighters, and getting a healthy amount of vitamin D.
-Whiten your smile. I am so very pale, so a yellow smile is one of my biggest insecurities. If you were ever in a drama club, sorority skit, or clown costume you wore white face paint and were terrified of your magnified yellow smile. When you’re pale, clown makeup is your reality. Maybe not to that extent, but your teeth contrasting against pale skin give a yellow glow. Enter Colgate® Optic White® RADIANT™ Toothpaste!
I get nervous about whitening toothpaste because I’m afraid of heightened sensitivity. However, unlike most whitening toothpastes, Colgate® Optic White® RADIANT™ toothpaste whitens not just the outside of your teeth, but the inside too! Also, it keeps your enamel safe so you can use it every day.
This is a new product launch at Kroger, so I was able to purchase it right next to my house! As an added bonus, the packaging is gorgeous so your eye is immediately attracted to it on the shelf.
This toothpaste is sure to give you a diamond white smile just in time for wedding season!
I am going to get my hair cut before my sister’s wedding in June–it needs it badly! It’s been too long!
I’m in desperate need of a hair cut myself before all these weddings!
I am not getting married, but I will be in a wedding as a bridesmaid. Thanks so much for sharing your preparations. I can definitely use some of these!
