What an exciting time to live in Atlanta! Our “Dirty Birds” are going to the Super Bowl. And despite what the Boston Globe says, we are excited. Yes, it is true that we in Atlanta have not had a lot to celebrate when it comes to sports. BUT WE DO NOW!
Don’t give us your pity because we don’t need it. This was an incredible season to be a fan. Every week we watched the sportscasters predict that we would lose, and (almost) every week we watched the Falcons prove them wrong.
We want it. So you can keep your smug righteousness, Boston Globe. We absolutely don’t need your pity.
But I digress. This post is not about how mildly infuriating that article was. This post is the easiest dip known to man and a real crowd pleaser. This is our new go-to because it is so easy and can be made in 15 minutes.
Disclaimer: I didn’t create this dip. I’m all about giving credit where credit is due; however, I’m not sure who created it first. I came up with the fun Falcon’s themed name. That’s it.
Ingredients:
- 1 pound mild Italian sausage
- 2 blocks of cream cheese
- 1 can diced tomatoes with chilies
- Cheddar cheese
- Tortilla Chips
First, brown the sausage in a large skillet.
Once browned, add a can of diced tomatoes with chilies and stir.
Cut two blocks of cream cheese into cubes and add to mixture. Stir until the cheese is melted.
Pour into serving bowl and top with grated cheddar cheese. Serve with tortilla chips.
So easy right? We made this for Sunday’s game and our friends all but licked the bowl. Trust me, such an easy crowd pleaser. Have I mentioned that yet?
What’s your favorite party food?
This looks like a winner for the super bowl!

Congrats to your Falcons!! My whole extended family is from Atlanta and we’re all cheering for them. Hey, if it couldn’t be the Broncos (womp…) then I’m happy for ya’ll! Looks like a tasty recipe, might have to try it out for next week!
