Happy National Donut Day! Let's make a air-fried d Happy National Donut Day! Let's make a air-fried donuts.

You can make donuts using biscuit dough! I used regular and chocolate chip biscuit dough here.

Directions:
1. Take your biscuit dough out of the tubes and use a round cookie cutter (or any small round glass) to cut a hole in the middle. Put the center dough to the side.
2. Spray your air fryer with cooking spray.
3. Put as many donuts in the air fryer that will fit your appliance. If you have the Instant Pot/Air Fryer, I did three at a time.
4. Fry the donuts for 6 minutes flipping halfway through. So three minutes, then flip, and three more minutes.
5. Take them out and add your icing!
6. You can use the middle pieces to make donut holes.

Let's make the easiest clam cookies for summer par Let's make the easiest clam cookies for summer parties! These would go well with the crabby chicken salad croissants I shared a few weeks ago.

To make these, add icing the the back of a Nilla wafer. Place a second cookie on top allowing the front to be open while the backs are touching. Add candy eyes or pearls to the icing.

You can make these in lots of colors. I was feeling pink, but blue or purple is totally on theme for a mermaid party or a "let's shell-a-brate" party!

2017 Goals

Every blogger needs two things near the end of the year, a yearly recap post and goals for the next year. I did my recap yesterday, so guess what today is?

I say it every year, but I really want to better myself this year. I always start energized and ready to take everything head-on, but then by Jan. 20 I’m totally burned out.  My resolution most years is to lose weight. I did that in 2016, so I’m not adding it to my list, but I will just try not to totally gain it all back. Instead, I focused on these areas: My blog, my life, my home, and my appearance.

Here we go!

Blog
-My number one goal is to take time to care for my blog. While it’s just a hobby, I really do love doing it. Earlier this month I switched from Blogger to WordPress and I almost have my design the way I want it to look. So I’m making strides in that direction. I’ve been blogging for two years, and I really feel that it’s time to step up my game a bit.

-Create consistent content. I’m trying to tailor my blog a little to create more clear, consistent content. Plus, I am forbidding myself from taking huge chunks of time off like I did in October.

-Grow my Instagram. This is becoming such a huge platform, that I just want to make sure I’m taking the time to keep up with the latest trends. I’ve taken several courses and I want to keep pushing forward.

Life

-Be kind. I am an “outgoing introvert,” meaning I can be social, talkative and outgoing until I can’t anymore and need to be alone. When I hit that wall, I sort of turn into a mega-witch. In 2017, I really want to be kind to the people I love, instead of hitting my wall and blowing up.

-Be grateful. I like to write down something I’m grateful for everyday. I started this earlier this month, but, of course, fell off the wagon with the holidays. I really want to make this a morning ritual in the new year. If you would like to do the same, you can get my grateful cards here.

Home

-Decorate. I tend to think of our apartment as temporary, but we just resigned a 13-month lease. I need to decorate. We have all these great wedding presents and new decor and I really want to focus on making it a home. I’ve already gone overboard with the pinning, but I am really excited about this new project.

-Clean. Once it’s decorated, I will not let my mail, laundry or shoes pile up. It needs to stay cute.

Appearance

-Learn. This is the year. I am going to really learn how to do my eyebrows. I’ve been talking about it forever, but this is it. I swear.

-Accessorize. I wear the same jewelry with everything. It’s really time to vary that up. Pearls are a totally classic look, but they’ve been my look since high school. I am going to take the time to pick my accessories.

So those are my goals this year. What are you focusing on in 2017?

Great goals! I totally believe you can achieve them! 🙂 I haven’t figured out my resolutions yet….I probably should since 2017 starts in 2 days. My resolutions posts will just be a little late – I am trying to focus more on family time while I in the same state as them. I hope you have a fantastic 2017!

These are great goals! I love decorating! I like to do a little clean up in the common areas at the end of the night and that helps keep things clean. Plus it always puts me in a good mood first thing in the morning. Good luck with your goals!

Love this post! All of your goals are fantastic and I really love that you want to focus on your blog and your eyebrows. Learning to fill in my eyebrows is definitely something I need to learn to do. My goals for my blog are simply consistency and monetization. This year I want to make a good income on my blog and i want to consistently put out great content.

It’s time! I’ve had my blog for two years and my eyebrows for 26, lol! I need to spend time on both. Happy New Year!
