It’s been a hot minute. So let’s just play catch up today, okay?
Wedding planning is going well! We’ve picked and booked most of the vendors. We have a date and a venue. I’ve said “Yes to the dress.” It’s so fun but I feel like I need a nap all the time. I’m really excited to get married and I love planning my wedding, but unfortunately everything besides work has taken a back-burner while I plan.
My birthday was one of those things. My birthday was last Tuesday and I went to bed at 8:00. I kind of forgot it was my birthday week, which is totally unusual because I’m one of those people that celebrates all month long. Stephen wanted to take me to dinner and I asked if we could just have leftover pizza and watch a movie instead. I didn’t actually make it to the movie portion of the evening because I was out like a light before we could even pick one to watch. The next day, I did celebrate with my pals at a wine tasting/Girl Scout Cookie pairing party which is the best idea for a party ever in case you need one.
I also registered for wedding presents, which might be the most fun activity on the face of this planet. I have almost no need for a large chunk of the things I registered for, but when else will someone buy me a banana slicer and an avocado tool? Actually, I almost got fired from registering because all I wanted was a Roomba Vacuum and a Margartiaville machine. Once I came back with some reasonable suggestions I was allowed to use the scanner again.
The writer’s block is so real. I had so many plans and awesome ideas for my blog before I got engaged and now all I can do is talk about wedding planning. It’s kind of a Cady Heron/Regina George thing. I can hear people getting bored with me, but I can’t stop. I don’t want to inflict wedding post after wedding post on y’all, but I literally can’t come up with anything else to talk about. Next time I have a free minute, I PROMISE to come up with posts that are not about wedding planning at all. I also will really write a post I HAVE to write before March 31 because that is in four days.
How are Molly and Mimo, you ask? No, you didn’t, but I’ll tell you anyway. Molly took off into the middle of a dog fight while I was holding her leash causing me to punch a tree, so I have boxer knuckles right before engagement photos. And Mimo has taken up a new hobby of taking all of her poop out of the litter box after she goes and putting it on the carpet outside the laundry room. So they’re both doing just peachy.
Oh and there is apparently an Instagram apocalypse in the making, since I haven’t posted in a week, I’m sure I will not be one of the survivors. It’s been real though.
What’s new with y’all??
Sounds like you've been busy! I took a little blogging break as well, life has a way of getting in the way of lifestyle blogging haha. Registering sounds so fun, a roomba and margaritaville would 100% be on my registry!

wedding planning was the most stressful time of my life. i don't blame you for falling asleep at 8pm on your birthday lol. i mean, who cares if you only post about wedding planning? it will be nice to look back on for you!
Ah! No worries. We'll be waiting when you come back. Bad Starla has been on the loose too. Since I've had my backdoor open to the patio, she's been getting really territorial of my patio and now barks and growls at everyone, including her favorite puppy that she always plays with at the dog park. So embarrassing because everyone is now afraid of her.
