For the first time in my entire life, I don’t really have time off at Christmas. I’m trying to be a big girl about it and totally failing. I have Christmas Eve and Christmas Day off and …that’s it. I’ve been pouting and angry and sad, but trying so hard to keep my over-the-top-I-love-Christmas attitude alive. So today I wrote it all out-the things I must accomplish in December to attempt to keep my head above water and not totally drown in the sadness that is adulting. Here we go. Helen’s Ultimate Christmas Bucket List. I’m actually doing pretty well.. 15 days go!
Must Do:
– Light Sweater Weather Candle every day
– Put up tree and decorate house
– Bake Cookies
-Shop
– Wrap presents
-Take pictures of your fur kids in Christmas sweaters
-See at least two nights of Christmas lights
-Drink all the peppermint mocha flavored things
-Attend a holiday party (PS…what does one wear to a business casual party that isn’t business casual.)
-Attend a tacky sweater party
-Mix festive drinks
-Go to Christmas Eve church service
-Sample all the Christmas beers

I literally have three tacky sweater parties this weekend, and yes. I am wearing the same tacky sweater each night.
Hawkeye has a Christmas Elf costume with bells and I consider it a personal failure if I don't get her into it at least twice in the month of December.
We have been on a Christmas movie kick lately I just love them!

I love love love the Nutcracker, I see the ballet every year with my grandmother. We always go and look at lights in our pajamas with hot chocolate in the car, watch Home Alone for sure, have a full day of baking and usually my husband and I go on a dinner date at Outback (because I love their gingerbread martinis) & wrap up our shopping!
