Is it just me or is there too much pressure placed on Halloween? Maybe it’s the fact that it’s on a Saturday. Like “you must go out in an awesome costume and have fun because you don’t have to be at work tomorrow.” I still do not have concrete plans or a costume and I’m actually stressed. I almost want to borrow someone’s kid and take it Trick-Or-Treating so I can just be off the hook for wearing no clothes when it’s cold and forced into bars with the rest of Atlanta.
But some nights I went ALL out. Y’all I made this black swan costume, wore my old pointe shoes and red contacts all night. Commitment. Also Popeye and the Black Swan did indeed attend the party together but were not quite committed enough for couple’s costumes yet.
I love Halloween so much more as an adult! I saw a really cute costume idea that looks like the dancing girls emoji! Basically just a black leotard thing, black flats, and a black bow

Helen. Helen, Helen, Helen. I feel like you need a pep talk. This is YOUR day, Helen. You LOVE this stuff. It's only Thursday, and you've done more in less time! (I feel like that would be true, so I went with it) f you let this opportunity pass you by, there's a distinct possibility that you won't get another costume-tunity for 365 days! IT'S TIME TO RALLY, HELEN!!!

YES TO ALL OF THIS!!!!! Now that I'm an adult I feel like this every year. And the thing, because it's on a Saturday I feel like I HAVE to go out and make the most of it. What I really want to do though is stay home, watch movies and drink pumpkin beer. I'll put on cat ears while I do it if that will make everyone happy. I have two girl friends who are SO into Halloween and can't imagine why I'm not excited. It's a lot of work! I did the costume thing a lot in college and maybe I'm costumed out. I just so feel you on this one!!!! PS – being a black cat this year again because it's easy!

I agree with all of this. BUT! Think of all the fun things that you could be that are comfy! I have to work on Halloween night, so my friends and I are being Captain planet and the planeteers so that we can wear shorts and t-shirts. Planning ahead.

"The old lady that I have become would rather eat a bucket of Skittles in my over sized sweatshirt, fleece lined leggings, and wool socks." This WILL be me, regardless of it being a Saturday. lol

But you're SO GOOD at Halloween! I get it, though. I haven't dressed up since my senior sorority Halloween party in college!

Girl, just stay in and marathon Halloween movies! Going out is overrated, especially on crazy nights where literally EVERYONE will be out at the bars!

I don't like Halloween. Even as a little kid, I wasn't crazy about it. I felt weird going up to strangers' houses and asking them for candy! I like watching everyone else, but I would rather sit in front of the fireplace with a glass of wine!

This is totally the first year of a classy costume for me! I also can't handle going out. One of my friends went out last night, (I didn't make it past the pregame before i went to bed) going out tonight, and then has a bar crawl saturday. NOPE. I can't handle it anymore.
Kristen @ See You In A Porridge says
girl, stay home, curl up with some snacks and a blanket!!
i have only been dressing up for like, 4 years. i didn't get to do it as a kid. if i did, i would be so over it as an adult. but it's fun, i get to pretend i'm a kid / teenager. i imagine this will be my last year, maybe. we'll see. and i don't have to work sunday, but i did tell my friend i would run with her, so that should be fun.
